Okay, the debate is on about fertility drugs for sure now. It seems a couple in Egypt just gave birth to four boys and three girls. It seems that they already had three girls and the husband very badly wanted a boy. His wife couldn’t seem to conceive after five years of trying so the doctor gave her hormones and wham, he got his son or sons I guess it should be said with a couple more girls thrown in for good measure.

The debate started over this couple because the husband is a 31 year old farm laborer. Now there are 9 children to feed, not 4 as they planned. Egypt is a nation of where medical oversight is lax, incubators and neonatal respirators are rare, and many families face pressure to have a son.  Well they had six healthy babies which in itself is a miracle.  I personally think that a family that already has 3 children should not be given hormones just in the hope to have a son but that is my opinion.
